If you endeavor to be part of an engagement party, you will realize that this is just one of ways through which relations of both families can become acquainted with each other. Remember that this may also constitute one of the first events that will bring both families together. If this is the first event, most of those present might not be very familiar with the others. It is obvious that there must be some silence. This silence ought to be broken and you can do this by coming up with an exciting idea. Any person can be responsible for organizing this event. It can be either any of the two families or the initiative can stem from the bride or the groom or from both. If you are the one to come up with this type of arrangement, think of something that will make people know more of and about the fellow guests. At such a ceremony, you can decide to play a trivia game. This is a game in which the necessary details of the either the bride or the groom’s life will be requested. This may include the necessary details about the events leading to the marriage of both parties. Remember that only things that sound appealing should be included in the questions. The benefit of this is that it does not only keep the guests lively, but it is a way of letting them better understand either the bride or the groom. You cal also think of an additional way to create and concretize the relationship between those who will be meeting themselves for the first time. There is a way in which this can be done. Although this mode is very common at corporate settings, it can also be workable here. In this type of game, a card is affixed on the back of each guest. All the guests will interrelate with each other. But ahead of getting to know another guest, an impression about you is written on that card. This allows the other person to know a bit about you. At the end of the event, each of the cards will be removed and what has been written about the other person will be read in the open. Remember that this is not only a way to make the acquaintances get better, but it can be fun for you to listen to what has been written about you. Keep in mind that you are not permitted to write upsetting things about others. Another very educative and inspiring thing to do is to let most of the guests who are already married to serve as counselors to the couple about to be wedded. The guests may be divided into two groups. One group should be for men and the other for the women. Remember any counseling that is called for should be counseling about making arrangements for the wedding. It should not be about getting wedded. You will realize that an assortment of recommendations will be gotten from the entire guests. Some will differ from others and some will sound appealing to be emulated.
