Planning a Disaster Free Wedding

There seems to be no such thing as a disaster proof wedding. Most people find their wedding day to be laced with at least one significant disaster. This article isn't really so much about how to avoid your wedding disaster, or even how to minimize the wedding disaster potential, but how to handle one so that the disaster does not have to ruin, or even heavily impact, your wedding day.

Over the years, I have learned a lot of things the hard way. (More than I care to list, actually.) But, the good news is, I haven't earned these gray hairs for nothing. I can help other people from making the same not-so-stellar choices.

When it comes to hosting a baby or wedding shower, the to-do list can get very intimidating. It is nearly impossible not to have something slip through the cracks even for an old pro.

But, it's OK because...nobody will know! Luckily, each guest hasn't been issued a comprehensive list of every tiny detail you hoped would be picture perfect. And, chances are, they'll all be having so much fun, that no one will care.

a know, ladies, I've really gotta hand it to us. Not a day goes by that I am not amazed by our strength, gentleness & ability to multi-task like nobody's business!

I see grandmas, young women, moms & wives performing downright miracles on a regular basis. We are power-suit wearing, dinner-cooking, book club-hosting, carpool-driving, brownie-baking, boo-boo-kissing superheroes!

So, when someone asks us to host a shower, we wonder how we can shoe-horn all of that work into our already packed day planner. We wish we had that kind of free time on our hands! (...and that kind of unspoken-for money in our checking account)
